The First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro exists to continue the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ by inviting all people to discover and deepen their relationship with God, involving them in the ministries of our faith community and investing their time, talent and treasure in the work of compassion and justice in the world.

Brief Vision Statement

The members of First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro grow closer to Jesus Christ through worship, education, fellowship and outreach. Rooted in prayer, we care deeply for every member in our church family. We want to reach out to those who have not experienced God’s love, and welcome them into our congregation. We are being intentional about growing spiritually, numerically and in diversity. Committed to passing on the faith to the next generation, we are placing a special emphasis on inviting young families with children to become a part of our congregation. In that regard, we are open to diversity of worship styles that will attract children, youth and adults to our life changing worship services. People come to the First Presbyterian Church because it is a place where they experience God’s love and can access the spiritual power of Christ for daily living.

As a result of our deep commitment to Jesus Christ and his mission of compassion and justice in the world, the First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro will grow to become a congregation of over 200 active and involved members who are actively involved in writing the 29th chapter of the book of Acts!
